Inside Virelia
A city of spires and soot, where the bells toll each sunrise for a king who will not die and heirs who keep disappearing. The Ashen Rings of court are a nest of vipers in silk, and the streets below are cracked by hunger, rumor, and rebellion.
Factions claw for power, prophets speak in riddles, and foreign empires eye the Veilwater River like a blade at the kingdom's throat. There are no safe choices here. Only consequences.
Beyond the city walls
To the south and west, the Onyx Spires: jagged mountains whose abandoned mines echo with stories of vanishing crews and stone that seems to whisper back. To the east, the Verdance forest shifts its paths and remembers every oath ever broken under its boughs.
And to the north, the Wyrdlands — lawless, wind-scoured plains where exiles return as warlords and alliances are written in smoke. Season One begins in the heart of Virelia, but its ripples reach far past the city gates.
Hope vs Fear at the table
Daggerheart's Hope and Fear dice sit at the center of every roll, pushing each scene toward triumph, disaster, or something messier in between. That tension is the show, and it's the way the site feels too.
The Hope/Fear toggle for light and dark mode mirrors the dice. Nudge the balance, compare rolls with friends, and blame whoever cursed the party with Fear.
